NOVEMBER 7TH MEETING PROGRAM NOTE

For the November 7, 2022 BAARC monthly meeting, Jeff Martin – K5WE will give a presentation on his one-man DXpedition to Chatham Island, a province of New Zealand. Chatham Island was # 82 on the Most Needed DX List. Jeff operated as  ZL7/K5WE making 18,308 contacts in 13 days. If you worked him, the November meeting is rare opportunity to get “the rest of the story”.  His DXpedition website is www.k5we.com/zl7-k5we if you would like additional background information on the trip.

BAARC SEPTEMBER MEETING – UPDATE

DUE TO THE LABOR DAY HOLIDAY, THE SEPTEMBER MEETING WILL BE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH.  SAME TIME AND PLACE AS USUAL.

We will have our normal business meeting, and then a short “meet and greet” break followed by a presentation video of the 2009 K4M DXpedition to Midway Atoll.

Also, Jeff Martin – K5WE is leaving this Tuesday for Chatham Island, a province of New Zealand and # 82 on the Most Needed DX List to operate as ZL7/K5WE for 13 days.  The DXpedition website is www.k5we.com/zl7-k5we for a band plan and more details.  If all goes well, Jeff will make a presentation at our November meeting on the trip.

REMINDER: NO IN-PERSON OR ZOOM MEETING MONDAY 03/07/22

BAARC Members,

No in person or ZOOM meeting Monday.

March is normally our club’s sponsored weather seminar presented by the National Weather Service. However, due to Covid-19 concerns, the weather spotter training sessions will not be presented in person, but will be available as virtual presentations online. To allow members time to attend, we are not having our normal “in-person” or ZOOM BAARC club meeting in march. The minutes of the February meeting and the last financial recap have been sent in the February 2022 HAMGRAM newsletter. The Weather Service presentations are excellent and usually take over two hours plus. All club members are encouraged to attend one of the sessions.
