RaspberryPi – Part 3 – SSH

One of the neat things on the RPi (and really with a lot of operating systems) is Secure Shell (SSH).

If you enable SSH, then you can log in to the RPi from another computer. So, you can put this guy with the radio gear (if you’ve got wi-fi enabled) OR put it with the rest of the computer stuff where your router is and run RPi from wherever you may be … anywhere you can hit your wireless LAN.

There are SSH clients for Windows, (the built-in terminal in the Mac OS works great) Android tablets, smart phones, so on an so forth.

How’s that sound ? Being able to do command-line stuff while watching TV , in other words, doing the computer thing without being away from the family ….
